  • Thicker and heavier than other UltrabooksRelatively short battery life Noisy
  • The U310's design, keyboard and trackpad make it a tempting option at this price, but be prepared to make a few compromises around performance and portability....

  • Attractive price, Great design and port selection, Excellent Glass touchpad, Hybrid hard drive
  • Keyboard layout, Below average battery life, Dim display

  • Go Back to Top. Skip To: Start of Article, IdeaPad, Ivy Bridge, laptops, Lenovo, ultrabooks, Windows 7
  • IdeaPad got fat. LCD remains dim, with washed out colors if you aren't viewing head on. Still no keyboard backlighting

  • The IdeaPad U310 offers up an attractive design and all the basic bells and whistles of a 13-inch ultrabook for $799, including plenty of USB ports and Ethernet
  • The thicker, heavier design weighs a bit more than last year's U300s, and there aren't any SSD-only upgrade options
  • The Lenovo IdeaPad U310 is an all-around decent ultrabook that's perfectly priced for back-to-school shoppers, but there are plenty of alternatives with nearly identically prices and features....
